    乔纳斯安杰森是一个后doctoral researcher at the European University Viadrina and a member of the Berlin School of Economics. He obtained his PhD at the DIW Berlin and Free University Berlin. During his PhD he visited Haas Business School at UC Berkeley for a research stay.

    Jonas research interests are in labour economics, gender economics and political economy. In his work he analyses effects of contemporary and historical family policies on labour market outcomes and on gender inequality in non-market work. Jonas is also working on better understanding effects of UI on aggregate unemployment. Another strand of his research in political economy concerns determinants of political resistance in the German Democratic Republic.

    His research has been, among others, been published in American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Public Economics, European Economic Review, Labour Economics and World Development.

    Jonas Jessen joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in September 2022.
