Patrick Button is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Tulane University. He primarily researches employment discrimination, especially against older workers and individuals with disabilities. First, Patrick quantifies discrimination using resume experiments, sending out on-average identical resumes of minority/non-minority applicants. Second, Patrick studies age and disability discrimination in employment laws to determine how they affect employment outcomes.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine in 2015. Patrick’s research
