Gabriela Galassi

    Gabriela Galassi is a labor economist broadly interested in public policy and applied econometrics. Some of her recent research projects have studied the effects of tax benefits for low-income workers, such as the labor demand and equilibrium response to the German Mini-Job Reform. Other topics in her research agenda include the intergenerational correlation of preferences for work, risk sharing between workers and firms and public policies in developing countries.

    Gabriela is a Senior Economist at the Digital Economy and Advanced Analytics Division of the Bank of Canada. She
    received her Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence) in 2018. She also holds a Master in Economics of Public Policy from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.

    Gabriela Galassi joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2018.
