日报教授的研究涉及卫生经济学与劳动经济学。她的工作中的一大部分侧重于医疗治疗对受体和家庭的社会经济结果的影响。The main insight that emerges from her research is that even in developed countries with generous welfare systems medical treatments have far-reaching effects on family well-being by impacting the treated individual’s non-health outcomes (e.g., academic achievement, labor market outcomes) and by affecting other family members through changes in the allocation of time and financial resources within the family (e.g., sibling academic achievement, parental labor supply). Her research has received financial support from Independent Research Fund Denmark, Maryland Population Research Center, and the Interdisciplinary Centre on Population Dynamics at SDU. Her research has been published in leading journals, including American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Health Economics and Journal of Public Economics.
