Susana Ferreira is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia.
Her research is motivated by the interactions between the economy, health, and the environment, and spans the areas of Environmental, Natural Resource, and Development Economics. She is interested in the valuation of the contribution of ecosystem services, environmental externalities, and environmental risks to human welfare. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
Susana Ferreira joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2022.
