Helge Liebert

    Helge Liebert is a senior economist at the Department of Economics and the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development at the University of Zürich.

    He is an applied microeconomist working primarily on topics in health and labor economics. His current research focuses on health and disability insurance, and how special educational needs can be accommodated in education systems.

    Dr. Liebert studied economics at the University of Freiburg and received his PhD from the University of St. Gallen in 2017. Prior to joining the University of Zürich in July 2020, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard University.

    Helge Liebert joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2022.
