Eleanor Jawon Choi is an Associate Professor in the College of Economics and Finance at Hanyang University, South Korea. Her research mainly focuses on making causal inferences on interventions related to labor market, human capital investment, and family formation. She also examines methodological issues in (quasi-)experimental research designs. Before joining Hanyang University in 2013 as an assistant professor, she was a research economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics from 2010 to 2012. She holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in economics from Princeton University, and a B.A. in economics from Seoul National University, South Korea.
Eleanor joined IZA as a Research Fellow in February 2020.
