Cara Ebert is a senior researcher at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and the deputy head of RWI's Berlin Office. She is also a fellow of the Joachim Herz Foundation.
Cara studied Economics at the Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of Amsterdam, and completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Göttingen. For her PhD dissertation Cara was awarded the Young Researcher Award of the German Economic Association’s Research Group on Development Economics.
Research interests: Development economics, human capital, economics of gender and family
Cara Ebert joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2021.
