Felix Pöge

    Felix Poege is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Technology & Policy Research Initiative, Boston University. In his research, he studies innovation activities of firms, in particular how firms respond to government policy. This includes corporate knowledge sourcing from science, but also taxation, competition policy and policy towards inventors. In current work, he is studying how the breakup of world-leading chemical company IG Farben influenced competitive structure and innovation in post-war Germany.

    Felix received his doctorate in Economics from LMU Munich, Germany. During his doctoral studies, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, with which he remains affiliated. He received his Master of Science in Economics from the University of Bonn in 2016. Felix first joined IZA as a student assistant in October 2013. He became a Research Affiliate in September 2017.
