Matthew Gudgeon is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Social Sciences and the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis at West Point. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from Boston University in 2018. He is an applied microeconomist with research interests are in Labor Economics, Public Economics, and Political Economy. His recent research has focused on the returns to military service, understanding labor supply and demand responses to tax and benefit policies, and the study of conflict.
Matthew Gudgeon became an IZA Research Affiliate in May 2023.
