B. Kelsey Jack, PhD, is anAssociate Professor,Bren School of Environmental Science and Management,University of California, Santa Barbara and an IZA fellow.Her research has focused on incentive based approaches to encourage the private provision of public goods with a focus on the environment. Her work draws on environmental economics, contract theory, development economics and behavioral economics to examine individual decision making in settings where decisions create social externalities. Dr. Jack has successfully conducted randomized controlled trails in multiple countries, and is currently the PI of research projects exploring the design of new markets in Malawi, environmental decisions in Bolivia and distribution networks for public health in multiple countries.
Established in 1998 in Bonn, Germany, IZA is an independent, non-profit research institution supported by the Deutsche Post Foundation with a focus on the analysis of global labour markets.
