Renate Neubäumer is full professor of economics and economic policy at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany and retired 2017. She holds two diplomas in national economics and economics of education and received her doctoral degree in economics from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University of Frankfurt, where she also completed her postdoctoral habilitation in 1997.
Her main research interests are in the fields of economics of education and empirical labor economics (especially the dual system of vocational education and training, further training, and labor market policy) - and recently climate change She has published several articles in refereed journals, including Journal for Labour Market Research, Applied Economics Quarterly, Journal of Economics and Statistics, Review of Economics, International Journal of Manpower.
Renate Neubäumer joined IZA as a research fellow in March 2010.
