Andrea Albanese is currently a research scientist in the Labour Market Department of LISER.

他毕业uated from a joint PhD programme at DEFAP Graduate School of Milan (Italy) and Ghent University (Belgium) in December 2015. His research interests are Labour Economics, Causal Analysis & Policy Evaluation, Labour Mobility and Sport Economics. His papers have been published in journals such as Labour Economics (2019, 2020), PLoS ONE (2020), Oxford Economic Papers (2019), Empirical Economics (2019), Economics Letters (2017), amongst others. In 2017 he won a large research grant as principal investigator funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR - CORE-Junior). During his studies, he has won research fellowships and scholarships from the Italian National Institute for Social Security (Visitinps), the Flemish Government Research Funds (BOF) and Fondazione Cariplo. In 2016, his PhD thesis was awarded the AISSEC prize for the academic years 2014-2016.
