Nadia Campaniello is currently a Senior lecturer at the Department of Economics of the University of Essex. She graduated in Economics (University of Turin, Italy), she received a Master Degree in "Management of Development" (International Labor Organization & University of Turin, Italy) and a Ph.D. in “Comparative Analysis of Law and Economics, Economics of Law, Economics of Institutions” in a joint program hosted at the Collegio Carlo Alberto (Italy).
Before joining the University of Essex she was a post doc at the Italian National Council for Research and at the University of Turin (Italy). She was a visiting scholar at the Industrial Relations Section – Princeton University (US), at RAND Corporation (Santa Monica, US.) and at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain).
Her research interests are Labor Economics, Economics of Crime and Public Economics.
She joined IZA as a Research Fellow in April 2015.
