Sam Asher is an associate professor of economics atImperial College LondonBusiness School. He was previously an assistant professor of international economics atJohns Hopkins SAISand before that an economist at theDevelopment Research Group (DECRG, World Bank). He is an associate of theBureau for Research and the Economic Analysis of Development(面包)Center for International Development(Harvard University), and an affiliate at theCentre for Policy Research(New Delhi). He received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and was then a postdoctoral research fellow in the Economics Department and Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
