Barış K. Yörük is a Professor of Economics at University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY). He received his Ph.D. in economics from Boston College in 2008.
His research interests include applied microeconomics, public economics, and health economics. His current research focuses on topic related to economics of charitable giving, health insurance policies and their impacts on economic and social outcomes, and risky behaviors. His work has been published in journals such as Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Urban Economics, and Journal of Policy Analysis and Management.
Barış K. Yörük joined IZA as a Research Fellow in December 2021.
