Ruben Durante is Full Professor and ICREA Researcher in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, affiliated faculty to the Barcelona School of Economics and the Institute for Political Economy and Governance, Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and Research Fellow of CESifo and IZA. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University in 2010. His main areas of research are political economy and media economics. He is the recipient of a five-year starting grant from the European Research Council.
His work has been published in several top journals including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, Management Science, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics. His research has also been featured in top international press outlets including the New York Times, the Washington Post, Haaretz, Slate, the Guardian, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Bloomberg, and La Repubblica.
Ruben Durante joined IZA as a Research Fellow in March 2022.
