Daniel Kamhöfer is a post-doctoral researcher at Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Currently, Daniel is on leave from Düsseldorf to serve as Acting Professor at the University of Konstanz in the winter term 2021/22.

He completed his PhD in Economics at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2018 and was a research assistant at Paderborn University prior to joining DICE. In his research, Daniel aims at understanding the determinants of individuals’ tangible and non-tangible prosperity and how policy interventions can promote personal wellbeing. His research interests include the formation of cognitive and non-cognitive skills and their labor market returns, female labor supply, drivers of physical and mental health, and economic aspects in family planning.

Daniel Kamhöfer joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in October 2019.
