Han Ye is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at the University of Mannheim. She is also a ZEW Research Associate and was a Dissertation Fellow at the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College.

Her current research interests are labor economics, public policy, and economics of aging. In particular, she has worked on understanding the labor supply responses of older workers to various policy interventions. Her research covers topics on effects of pension subsidies on retirement timing, older workers' labor supply responses to unemployment insurance extensions, and employment beyond retirement.

She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University where she studied between 2012 and 2018. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, she completed an M.A. in Economics at Boston University and a B.A. in Economics and Finance at University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.

Han Ye became an IZA Affiliate in March 2018.
