Christoph Albert received his Ph.D. in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University in 2018. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros (CEMFI) in Madrid before he joined the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin as Assistant Professor in 2021. He is research fellow at CReAM (Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration) and serves as the Co-President of the European Association of Young Economists (EAYE) since 2019.
His research interests are in labour economics, urban economics, and the economics of migration. Currently, he works on studies related to immigrants' wage assimilation and immigrants' impact on the local consumption of imported goods.
He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in May 2023.
