Sebastian Königs is Senior Economist at the OECD, Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, Jobs and Income Division.

He holds a DPhil (PhD) in Economics from the University of Oxford, a graduate degree in Economics from HEC Lausanne and an undergraduate degree from the University Maastricht. He previously worked as a part-time researcher at Statistics Norway and as a consultant for the OECD and the World Bank.

His main research interests are income and wealth inequalities and the role of income support systems.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in July 2013.
